I don't know if it's any help, but I have not read a lot of good things about Renesas USB 3.0. I have an Intel motherboard with built-in Renesas USB 3.0 and it is nothing but trouble. It will work after the system boots, but at some random point it just stops working. If I have an external hard drive plugged in, it gets ugly. I have stopped using the port for anything that I need reliability from, and just use it for a scanner/printer.
I would suggest checking other online hardware forums or Googling for your chipset. This is how I learned more about the Intel motherboard issue. I got a better firmware and driver to use, but it is still not as reliable as USB 2.0.
Another possibility is return the Renesas card and buy a different one with a different chipset.
Good luck!
